A Little Quiz......... to keep the gaffers brain ticking over...................

Hello Everybody, welcome to this new thread.
Well, as we know there has been a nasty incident which occured and one of our Moderators was unfortunate and he had an accident and finds himself housebound for a few weeks.

As I was sitting twiddling my thumbs during my lunch break today, I thought AH!!!  A Quiz will cheer him up.

Now, I will put the answers on here on Sunday at some point.

First of all, this calls for some very deep trust and honesty,
N O   C H E A T I N G !   Because of the nature of the way the Forum runs and I do not know how to programme things, I am only able to put the questions on, you all need to put your answers down, and check them on sunday, then before Monday 5.00 pm, I need all your HONEST results on the Forum to see who will win  prizes. OK?

1st Prize:       A Winter Break weekend (camping)
for one person in Rhyl, Wales.

2nd Prize:      A six month old second hand coconut I won
but never ate but is useful as a paperweight.

3rd Prize:      An empty Appleschnapps bottle that would be
very good for sending messages in if your
                             computer crashes.

Booby Prize = Ist Prize winner chooses
                             what to offer for that.

Nice work Maria! Some of those are tough!  Do we send the answers to you in a PM, or do we write them up here?

(Is there a type of loaf of bread called a ****-up?!)

Now Vee8, I think you will need to be taken to task if what you have typed ****up means what I think you mean. Just because you have injured yourself and have to stay at home, and you might get a little bored, does not give you the right to misbehave and be naughty !
There is a question on a 'Rumpus Room' and you could well end up in there with the other naughty children ........oops, I have given away an answer now........ Oh well, I shall have to watch what I say from now on.

No, there is no need to type anything down. PEOPLE WHO TAKE PART IN THIS QUIZ,
PLEASE TAKE NOTE, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WRITE DOWN ON A PIECE OF PAPER a). or b). or c). as such to each question. Then when the answers are printed out on Sunday, you can check it out. Then....... N O C H E A T I N G .............post your final score on this page and we will see who the winners are. As you see there are some very exciting prizes to be won so make sure you get your answers in before Monday 6.00 pm when I wil check out the lucky prize winners. Bye for now.

I only said muck-up!

No, I actually said c@ck-up, but I didn't expect it to be cencored?

OK, I'll get scribbling!  Nice work again, Maria, I might do one myself.  Now what should I use for a subject?  Cars?  Aeroplanes??  Hmmm...

It would be great if we could make this a CLEAN (dont forget The Little Princess 'owns' this board its in her name really) joke and quiz board to keep things interesting and unbitter. So far its a lovely board with not one nasty or bitter and twisted or filthy comment on. You and Deuce have moderated it well and ought to be very proud of that. We ought to remember that if Madeleine wanted to look at it, she could. Thats only MY opinion mind and I dont want to appear to come across as bossy.furious
It would be great if you could put up a general knowledge quiz Vee8. I know NOTHING about cars except I dont like red ones on the road. I prefer black or green, or champagne.  I know what a Vee8 is. Its an engine for a crocked up old banger. Is that right?? lol weirdface
You will notice that some of the answers are 'hidden' in this Forum here and there, and some can be looked up. I explained to Friend, that cheating is not looking things, up but pretending to get more correct than we actually have.......... VEE8 ! .......Are you paying attention???
So it should be easy enough for most of us.

Something I forgot to mention though is that the First Prize DOES have to be paid for by the Star Winner, as I dont have any money.wink Sorry about that folks.

In the meantime, Happy Quizzing.

Good luck and God bless you all,

Love Maria x
