Another musical question.

Does anyone remember the old song, 'Hold your head up' by Argent?'  I swore black and white the lead singer was Rod Stewart, but no-one believed me at work.  Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I see you are not really into the Irish music scene Vee8 ha ha lol.

Never mind, we all have different tastes.
You mentioned 'All along the Watchtower' on your other Forum, whats your view on Bob Dylan I wonder.

In my opinion, he is the greatest and unsurpassed poet of our generation. His 'singing' is strange but he puts his message over really well I think.

I hope your elbow feels a little better today Vee8 x

More of an old headbanger myself Maria, though I have a very wide taste!  Even got some Glenn Miller!  If you follow modern rock back through it's roots, through early rock'n'roll, back further to jive, you'll find jive had it's origins in Glenn Miller.  The man has a lot to answer for!

Yes, Glen Miller was very good. Never liked Bill Hayley though.
I like some of my mothers' music too. My stepdad used to listen to the radio a lot and so I used to as well when I was on school hols. As he was a milkman, I used to spend a lot of afternoons listening to his taste. Frankie Lane was one, I really liked him, and I like Marty Robbins.
He used to have a Red Army (Russian) LP which I quite enjoyed, and on the radio, I used to hear a fair bit of Bluegrass stuff. Im still into bluegrass.

Take a look at 'The Old Crow Medicine Show' (Bluegrass) they are quite good as well.

Max Jaffa was another of my stepdads stuff and quite good.

In our house though, I must admit, most of the stuff is my husbands.
